For Regions

With so small a team and such large distances, Back to Church Sunday Australia has realised the need to have a training DVD to help groups and individual churches.

We rely heavily upon the regional champions to tell churches about Back to Church Sunday and how they can get involved.

Having registered, each region will appoint a champion to co-ordinate Back to Church Sunday. The role of the champion is to encourage churches to take part, provide training, take orders for materials and help churches to publicise Back to Church Sunday in the local media.

We invite each region to share their experience of Back to Church Sunday both from the perspective of the church and the visitors who come along. This will help us to provide feedback on how Back to Church Sunday is received across Australia and to share the amazing way that God is working in our country.

'The wider advertising is really helpful for guests - who came from curiousity whether personally invited or not and because it adds 'legitimacy' to the invitation from parishioners.  Somehow, it reduces that sense of being 'pressurised' to come.  It was really enabling and liberating to have a dedicated, welcoming, national campaign.'
